With everyone’s Christmas holiday plans being affected by the COVID19 pandemic in some way, sharing some ideas of how to make your holiday brighter was the theme for December’s entries for Juanita’s VIP Club Free Gift Card Giveaway. To enter, you simply had to answer the following question: “What new or different things are you going to do this year to make this holiday season wonderful?”
I got the ball started by giving some of my own ideas… Like sending Christmas cards, baking cookies with the family, maybe celebrating Thanksgiving again. Well, I may have gotten the ball started and there was some wonderful entries received. Some I thought I would like to share with you….
“We donated to homeless shelter instead of buying for each other. Felt so rewarding” – BY
“Going to make Christmas dinner for my new neighbours” – SC
“having been organizing and collecting non-perishable food items at work, got 3 boxes full for Thanksgiving, and shall have another 3 boxes by this week I will drop them off at the local food bank — helping needed people !! ” – PC
“I lost my mom last month… so this Christmas is going to be a hard one without her. I have 2 little boys that make my days brighter…so i have been taking them all over the region to look at Christmas lights. It was something my mom used to do for me! ” – KM
“I am sending packages to loved one across the country who will not be able to fly home, I have included things like craft items that they will do before and after the actual day. I just wish I could send a home cooked meal but those things just don’t ship well. We will zoom call on the day and do our best to keep our spirits merry and bright” – BS
“I am going to relax more. Also cooking dinner at home for the first time rather than going somewhere. Looking forward to spending time with the family!” – TD
“I am going to help the less fortunate more! I am so thankful for what I have so why not share!!” – TT

“Go on long drives without getting off anywhere, with family or to meet family… Just drop by the door and say hi and leave a bunch of goodies for them. 😊 Lots of cooking and baking at home. 💜 Dropping off food at a couple of local food banks. 😇 Reading books with a cup of hot cocoa! 😍” – KJ
“Prepare early in case of lockdown! Used recycled wrapping in a creative way. Lots of FaceTime.” – LM
